These terms are how I look after your dog safely and fairly. Please read them before your first booking. If anything isn't clear, just ask me at our meet and greet.
Sam, Sam & Zaylee’s Dog Club
1. About these terms
- "I", "me" and "the Dog Club" mean Sam, trading as Sam & Zaylee’s Dog Club, Nuffield Close, St John's, Worcester. "You" means the dog's owner, or the person making the booking on the owner's behalf.
- These terms apply to every walk, day care day and overnight stay. By sending a booking request you agree to them.
- I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies.
2. Booking
- Before the first booking I'll visit for a free meet and greet. I'll ask you to fill in a short form with your details, your dog's routine, your vet and an emergency contact.
- A request made on the website holds the date or time while I check it. It only becomes a booking once I've confirmed it with you by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- I can decline a booking, for example if I don't think your dog will be happy with me, or if the booking would mean too many dogs at once.
- Regular walks continue each week until either of us cancels them.
3. Prices and payment
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Regular walk (1 hour) | £14 |
| One-off walk (1 hour) | £16 |
| Day care, walk included | £28 per day |
| Overnight stay | £38 per night |
- Prices are per dog. I'll agree a price for a second dog from the same home at the meet and greet.
- Payment is due by the date we agree when I confirm the booking. Overnight stays are paid in full before drop-off.
- If an invoice is more than 14 days late, I may pause future bookings until it's paid.
- I'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
4. Cancellations
- Walks and day care: please give at least 24 hours' notice. With less notice, I may charge the full price.
- Overnight stays: cancelling 7 days or more before drop-off is free. Between 6 days and 48 hours, I may charge 50%. Under 48 hours, I may charge the full price.
- If I have to cancel, for example through illness, I'll tell you as early as I can and you won't be charged.
- I may cut a walk short or keep your dog in the garden in severe weather, such as heat over about 25°C, ice or storms. I'll let you know.
5. Your dog's health
- Your dog must be up to date with vaccinations, including kennel cough for day care and overnight stays, and with flea and worming treatment.
- Please tell me about any health conditions, allergies, injuries or medication. I'll give medication as you instruct and keep a note of each dose.
- If your dog is unwell or has anything catching, please don't send them. I can't take in-season females for day care or stays alongside other dogs.
- Your dog must wear a collar and ID tag and be microchipped, as UK law requires.
6. Behaviour and big breeds
- Please tell me honestly about any history of aggression, biting, reactivity, escaping or anxiety. It helps me keep your dog, other dogs and people safe.
- Big and strong breeds are welcome. I've owned a husky and an XL Bully myself.
- XL Bully type dogs must have a valid Certificate of Exemption, which I'll ask to see. In public they're always walked on a lead and muzzled, as the law requires, and are never walked off lead.
- If your dog's behaviour puts anyone at risk, I may end the walk or stay early and ask you or your emergency contact to collect them.
7. On walks
- Your dog stays on the lead unless you give written permission for off-lead time and I'm happy it's safe. Off-lead time is at your own risk.
- I walk small groups only: your dog, Zaylee, and never more than three dogs in total.
- I pick up after every dog and follow local dog control rules.
- Please provide a suitable lead and harness or collar, and a muzzle where needed.
8. Day care and stays
- Dogs stay in my home in St John's, with a fully secure garden, a covered terrace and warm indoor space. They're never left in kennels or cages, unless you've asked me to use your dog's own crate.
- Please bring enough of your dog's usual food, plus any medication and a familiar bed or blanket.
- Drop-off and collection times are agreed when I confirm. If you're more than an hour late collecting from day care without letting me know, I may charge for an extra half day.
- If your dog isn't collected at the end of a stay and I can't reach you or your emergency contact within 48 hours, I'll keep caring for them and charge the nightly rate. I may then contact the dog warden or a rescue.
9. Vets and emergencies
- If your dog is ill or injured in my care, I'll take them to your vet, or the nearest vet in an emergency, and contact you straight away.
- By booking, you authorise me to get veterinary treatment I believe is needed if I can't reach you. You agree to pay the vet's fees and any reasonable costs of getting there.
- I'll always try you first, then your emergency contact.
10. Keys and your home
- Any keys or door codes you give me are labelled with a code, never your address, and kept securely.
- I'll lock up and leave your home as I found it. Please tell me about alarms, other pets and any rooms your dog shouldn't go in.
- I'll return keys when we stop working together, or whenever you ask.
11. Responsibility
- I'll take good care of your dog, as I would my own. Dogs can still be unpredictable, so some risk always remains.
- I'm not responsible for illness, injury or loss that happens despite reasonable care, or that comes from something you didn't tell me about your dog's health or behaviour.
- You're responsible for any damage or injury your dog causes, as the owner.
- Nothing in these terms limits responsibility for death or injury caused by negligence, or any of your rights under UK consumer law.
12. Photos
- I'll send you photos and updates during walks and stays.
- I'd love to share some photos of your dog on the Dog Club website and social media. I'll only do that if you say yes, and never with your name or address.
13. Your information
- I keep only what I need to look after your dog: your contact details, your dog's details, your vet and an emergency contact.
- I use it only to run your bookings and keep your dog safe. I never sell it or pass it on, except to a vet or emergency services when needed.
- I delete your details within 12 months of our last booking unless you ask me to keep them. You can ask to see, correct or delete them at any time.
